- State-of-the-art computer technology now available in all LCPS' classrooms, laboratories, and libraries provides Loudoun students with superior learning tools and up-to-date information available through controlled access to the global resources of the Internet.
- LCPS' Project Access, which put 10,101 computers into Loudoun County's classrooms was nominated for the Computerland Smithsonian Award. It was the only Virginia school system nominated.
- Nationally-normed achievement test scores have consistently ranked LCPS' performance high among the top ten of Virginia's 130 school systems.
- 98.72% of Loudoun's high school seniors graduate. LCPS' 2000 dropout rate for grades 7-12 is among the lowest in the state.
- 87% of Loudoun's 1999 graduates are continuing formal education; 80% reported plans to go on to college.
- Monroe Technology Center offers high school students advanced training in 19 specialized fields. MTC Students win top prizes in state and national skill tests. General Motors chose MTC as the first school in the nation to pilot the GM-YES Program with mentorships for students at area automobile dealerships.
- Programs for gifted students are available at all grades in all schools, and qualified students may attend Governor's Magnet School Programs in science and technology and the arts.
- A full range of Special Education programs serve disabled youngsters; LCPS has won statewide recognition for its model program integrating Special Ed students into regular education environments.
- High schools offer ADVANCED PLACEMENT calculus, history, English, biology, chemistry, computer science, French, German, Latin, and Spanish; 73% of Loudoun students taking AP tests achieve high scores of "3" or better (which may make them eligible for college credit.)
- 94.3% of LCPS employees are school-based. According to the D.C. Metropolitan Area Boards of Education Guide, LCPS has the highest percentage of school-based personnel in the area.
LCPS Posts a Record 1073 on the SAT Scores for 2005. Posted by Loudoun County Public Schools students taking the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) hit an all-time high of 1073 according to statistics released on Tuesday, August 30th, by the College Board. This represents an increase of 14 points from the 2004 overall score of 1059, which also represented a record.
Broad Run High School recorded an overall score of 1054.
Dominion High School had an average score of 1040.
Heritage High School posted an average score of 1050.
Loudoun County High School posted an overall score of 1099.
Loudoun Valley High School had an overall SAT score of 1112.
Potomac Falls High School had an overall average score of 1076.
Stone Bridge High School had an average score of 1079.
